Last month turned out to be the best May since 2005 with plenty of warm sunshine and a mini heat wave. With some rain towards the end of the month this has left most gardens on the dry side.
WEEDING
Keep up the weeding and continue to lay ornamental bark to hold the weeds at bay. In the vegetable garden the Wolf Push/Pull weeder cannot be beaten (see Topline’s Tips May 2009) and for patio or brick paving the Speedweeder - a small simple hand held device is ideal.
