Decorative Aggregates

It is easy to transform your garden with gravel & decorative aggregates. Both can complement your existing planting and add an additional dimension to your garden. Gardeners can also use them as mulches – used on top of soil they can aid moisture retention in the summer and provide insulation from temperature fluctuation in other seasons. In order to get the most from your decorative aggregate it is important to carry out the correct ground preparation. If the area is to be regularly walked on or trafficked by vehicles a compacted sub base may be necessary. For areas that will not bear any weight a water permeable membrane will help to stabilise the ground and reduce the appearance of unsightly weeds.
