Bench design is also varied ranging from the iconic solid teak Lutyens bench to the stylish Gothic metal bench designed by Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen. Memorial benches usually of a traditional wooden design are becoming increasingly popular as a way of remembering a loved one. The picnic bench will be familiar to all and there is even a curved solid teak “Banana” shaped bench which would be a charming addition to any garden. Picnic Benches

Picnic benches are the perfect type of garden bench for al fresco eating whether it be a family picnic in the garden or a childrens party. The facility for several people to sit on either side of the bench represents a combination of practicality and value for money. The Rowlinson 5’ Picnic Bench is our choice being made from FSC timber, seating up to 6 and with a natural timber finish which can be stained or painted.

Memorial Benches

Our Westminster or London benches are suitable as a memorial bench being of traditional wooden design. Often a brass plaque is affixed to the bench to personalise it and as a permanent way of remembering a loved one. Equally suited to a sports ground, municipal location or private garden our memorial benches are of the highest quality and built to last.

Lutyens Bench

The iconic Lutyens Bench is one of the most attractive types of garden bench and is a timeless classic. With its distinctive shaped back rest and rolled armrests it is a statement of style and good taste enhancing any period garden or patio. Lutyens Benches can be seen in the gardens of many historic houses especially those with gardens where he collaborated with Gertude Jeckyll. Two sizes are available.

Teak Benches

Our solid teak garden benches are made from Grade A Indonesian Teak which is certified as being from sustainable resources. Kiln dried and finely sanded the teak bench develops a fine patina over time further enhancing its beauty. The teak bench has no rival amongst wooden benches for its durability, elegance and low maintenance.

Metal Garden Benches

A wrought iron garden bench can give years of pleasure and is perfect for patios, terraces or garden rooms. The Lawrence Llewellyn-Bowen Gothic inspired Cecile Bench with its romantic appeal is our favourite. An ideal St Valentine’s Day gift !

Wooden Picnic Benches
