The design of the classic steamer comes from the originals used by the
Union Castle Line during the time of the British Raj. The name derives from
their use on steamer ships for travellers to read their newspapers and books
and to watch the world go by. These high quality classics adjust to ten
different positions. Combined with the luxury cushion, this provides comfort
for each individual. Both the cushion and the Grade A Teak steamer are durable
and highly weather resistant.
All fittings where applicable are made of solid
brass.

Grade A Teak
Grade A Teak is a term covering the usage of the mature heartwood section of the teak timber and makes up only 20% - 25% of the mature log. It is a closely grained dense hardwood rich in protective oils making it strong and naturally resistant to the elements. Grade A teak is far superior to grade C timber and will easily last a life time.
Our Heritage Grade A Teak garden furniture is produced using plantation teak and carries the Indonesian BRIK certificate warranting that our product is harvested from sustainable forests.
