🌸 What to Plant in Your Autumn Planters

A thoughtfully planted autumn and winter container can be every bit as beautiful as a summer display. Here are the plants we recommend for the most spectacular results through autumn and into spring.

• Winter pansies and violas — The backbone of any autumn and winter container display. Available in an extraordinary range of colours, they will flower bravely through all but the harshest weather and respond to deadheading by producing a continuous succession of blooms.
• Cyclamen — Hardy cyclamen are one of autumn's most beautiful container plants, with their elegant swept-back flowers in shades of white, pink and deep carmine appearing above attractively marbled foliage. Hardy varieties will survive a British winter outdoors.
• Heucheras — Grown primarily for their spectacular foliage in shades of copper, burgundy, lime green, chocolate and silver, heucheras provide colour and structure in planters through all twelve months of the year. Mix with flowering plants for a layered, richly textured display.
