There's nothing quite like coming in from a long walk, kicking off your boots and settling by the fire. Our Bootcare & Fireside collection brings together the two ends of that ritual: hard-wearing boot racks and scrapers to keep mud firmly outside, and handsome fireside pieces to make the hearth the heart of the home.

At the door: British-made bootcare

Every boot rack and scraper is designed and made in Britain from solid 10–12mm steel and finished in a durable black polyester coating, built to stand outside through every season. Choose from compact two-pair racks topped with countryside silhouettes – stag, hare, owl, hedgehog, Labrador and more – through to four- and five-pair stands for the whole family, wall-mounted racks for tight porches, and traditional Victorian-style scrapers for the worst of the mud.

By the fire: the Hill Interiors fireside range

We've chosen pieces from Hill Interiors, the Yorkshire family business known for its heritage-inspired homeware. Companion sets in black, antique brass, pewter and polished nickel. Hearth tidies for sweeping up ash. Log, kindling and match sets. Generous coal buckets. Rustic wooden lanterns to bring a soft glow to the hearth or porch.

Helpful to know

• Which boot rack? Allow one space per pair of boots in daily use, plus one for guests. Wellies and tall riding boots suit the diagonal and long-style racks.
• Wood burner or open fire? Compact companion sets (around 40–48cm) sit neatly beside a stove. Taller sets (60cm+) suit open fireplaces and inglenooks.
• Mix your finishes. Black works with almost anything. Pewter and nickel feel crisp and classic, while brass and copper add warmth to traditional rooms.
• Lanterns are designed for LED candles, so they're safe to group close to the fire.
• Care: wipe metal pieces with a soft, dry cloth. Brush boot racks off after use and they'll last for years.
