Product Description
Supplied as a bare-root rose from November to February
Roses ordered between November and February are dispatched bare root: a dormant, field-grown plant freshly lifted from the nursery, with its roots wrapped to keep them moist. It arrives as pruned stems with no leaves or flowers, which is normal at this time of year. Bare-root roses have a large root system, establish quickly and should flower in their first summer.
Rose of the Year 2006 and a perfect present for any celebration. If you want a healthy, reliable rose, look no further: clusters of pinky-cream buds open to blush-apricot blooms with a darker centre and a light fragrance.
Dark, glossy foliage sets off the flowers from late spring until the first frosts.

Planting your bare-root rose
- Plant as soon as possible after delivery. If the ground is frozen or waterlogged, keep the rose somewhere cool and frost-free with the roots damp, or heel it into spare soil, until conditions improve.
- Soak the roots in a bucket of water for an hour or two before planting.
- Dig a hole at least twice the width of the roots and mix in well-rotted compost and a slow-release fertiliser such as bonemeal.
- Set the graft union (the knobbly point where stems meet roots) just below soil level, firm in well and water thoroughly.
