Combining a toughened glass cold frame with a raised bed gives soil-grown crops the best possible start. The raised bed drains well and warms up quickly in spring, helping you harvest up to six weeks earlier than crops grown in the open. The soil also acts as a heat store, smoothing out temperature swings and improving frost protection – ideal for early crops, hardening off and overwintering tender plants.
Sliding doors give ventilation from a small gap in early spring to fully open in summer. The roof panels slide open and can be removed in summer while still sheltering plants from the wind. The weight of the glass keeps the frame stable, and the rigid panels stand up to wind and snow.
Aluminium structure with stainless steel fixings. Optional automatic or manual louvre vents, shade covers and mist watering are available. Soil not included.
Self-assembly with comprehensive instructions.
