Bougainvillea plants are surprisingly easy to grow in the UK and will thrive in a frost free spot. Keep them on the dry side over winter and from March onwards they will flower again and again in waves, right through the summer into late autumn.

Just as pictured these bougainvillea are in full flower and are the popular purple 'glabra' variety which is particularly vigorous and free flowering.
